Only 3 days left till I’m back home in snowy Colorado. Yuki and Shota wanted to throw a nice farewell party for me before I left so Saturday night took me to upscale Ginza. We started at a beautiful izakaya with our own private fountain and finished with sangria in a classy little bar. Farewells are always difficult and friends like Shota and Yuki are hard to come by but I have all the confidence in the world it wont be long before we meet again. Adding to an already long list of Colorado visitors, Yasu decided to show up. Together with Shota and Yuki we had a fun time eating nabe and trying lemon vinegar cocktails. Here’s a couple cellphone pics from our night in Shinjuku.

Met with Masaru and Yuki last night and for the first time in Japan felt like I was back in Colorado. I remember our last goodbye vividly on a rainy colorado night, just a few days before leaving to Brazil. It was a great feeling to re unite and finally share all thats happened. As always time slipped away quickly and I needed to make the last train. We enjoyed a few beers, shared many laughs and ate exceptional Japanese food. Continue reading for the gallery.
